Advances in cancer diagnosis and the introduction of new cancer treatments have dramatically improved survival rates. So currently it's the need of the hour to think well beyond the cure to the future quality of life of these cancer survivors.

A cancer diagnosis is a devastating situation for young cancer patients and their families. Cancer and its therapy have a detrimental effect on fertility. Fertility preservation has now become a new paradigm in survivorship. It has been well documented that cancer and cancer treatment resulting in infertility is psychologically distressing for many patients, but those who have undergone fertility preservation have coped better with cancer therapies.

This book is our effort to give an overview of fertility preservation in detail which will help to bridge the gap between the Oncology and Fertility Team and to develop well-coordinated, easily accessible referral pathways for cancer patients of reproductive age group.
