Aesop's Fables is a collection of fables credited to Aesop a storyteller believed to have lived in ancient Greece between 620 and 564 BCE. Of diverse origins, the stories associated with his name have descended to modern times through a number of sources and continue to be reinterpreted in different verbal register and in popular as well as artistic media.

This audiobook is one of several in a multilingual series consisting of 25 fables. Educators, translators, and second language acquisition experts collaborated to retell the fables in simplified language, with both form and content systematically adjusted and controlled by limiting the vocabulary, simplifying the syntax, and without digressing from he main story line.
