Oba Akintokunbo leaves his hometown in Ondo State for Lagos in search of a job. His university friend, Solomon Jones, accommodates him in his room-and-parlour apartment in Obalende. When Oba goes job hunting and isn't successful  in getting a good job, Ikenna, a young man living in Solomon's house, approaches him with a job that involves scouting for voters for a political party in preparation for the upcoming general election. Ikenna is unaware that the reason why Oba has come to Lagos is not just to find a job but to look for his girlfriend who was a victim of electoral violence three years ago.
