The Final Kiss is the first of a six-part, short story series featuring the Android Esmerelda-09B. Though the stories can be read as stand alone, this was the story that started it all.

In the Final Kiss, Esmerelda's world has been destroyed in a war between her people and the Human Galactic Empire. Esmerelda lost everything, her home, her people, and the crown princess Kai-Althea, the love of her life. Esmerelda had wandered aimlessly across her dead world until she stumbled upon a forgotten piece of history that could reignite her hope. Setting forth from the ruin of her world, she begins to search the cosmos for the Caliopa Door, the one thing that can reunite her with her lost princess.
