How the birds got a king is a Dutch fairy tale written by Theo van Hoytema. The birds decide they need a king and arrange a match. The bird that can fly the highest will be king. A big eagle flies really high and wins, but then a cheeky little bird that hid in his feathers flies out and flies even higher! The moral of the story is: being cheeky and playing tricks is often not appreciated. Recommended for age 6+.
