Just out of pastry school, Louise Ingstrom has returned to Fortune Bay for Christmas before going to Seattle to find her dream job. Her dad is sick and she wants to help out, but is staying at the Murphy's cabin for the month to avoid the drama at home.

Her old friend Blue has stood by her forever, ever since they were kids and she lost everything she cared about, but she's never known how much he cared. Now he's determined not to get caught up in her drama again, especially since another new boyfriend is coming to visit. It's time to get on with his own life - with or without her.
