When a museum statue comes to life during a school field trip, eleven-year-old Milo receives a dire message: the secret has been found.
But what secret?
Realizing that Milo shows signs of being a Gargoyle Hunter, his mother takes him into the creepy Catskill Mountains to stay with his Uncle Horace. There he'll be safe until he can learn about the gargoyles and how they protect the human race.
But after she disappears in a swarm of locusts and Uncle Horace is kidnapped by the Snarloks, a rogue gargoyle clan, Milo finds himself alone. That is until a talking dog and a cement garden gnome lead him and his newly found friends on the adventure of a lifetime.
Milo and his friends must travel into the world of the gargoyles and rescue his Uncle Horace, before the Snarloks uncover the secret and doom all of humanity.
