When eleven-year-old Theo goes to stay with his grandparents during the summer break, he's sure it's going to be a long, boring six weeks. After all, what's there to do in a town so small everyone knows his name before he even gets there?

Then Theo meets Bay and Jilly, two kids who love monster movies...right before the movie cuts out and something howls inside the theater!

Theo wants to help his new friends investigate, but investigating means breaking the biggest rule in Deadwood Hollow: Never go out at night.
