This book elaborates women's movement in Manipur making an attempt to analyze their contribution related to the socio-economic and political development in a democratic way besides explaining the impact of modernization, industrialization, globalization, science and technology etc. towards women. It also traces role of women pertaining to marginalization, values, rights, liberties, education and other activites apart from empowerment and subordination of women in different societies.
