#1 I was told that my son was the one who had murdered another boy. I had to accept that it was no more than a phantom I had created to protect my son.

#2 Jeff did everything alone and in secret. No one was to blame but him, and there was no question but that I had to accept that fact. The police told me that something inside of him was dead, and that he was dead too. There was nothing left but a cold, empty shell.

#3 My wife got pregnant quickly, and we had to move out of our apartment because of the noise and cooking odors from the downstairs neighbors. We began to argue and my wife became increasingly irritable because I wouldn't complain to the neighbors.

#4 My wife, pregnant with our first child, was having seizures. The doctors could find no medical reason for them. They thought they were rooted in her mental state, rather than physical. They added more medication to try and help, but it did not. Her emotional state worsened as she got closer to giving birth.
