Traffic light regulates traffic, to prevent accidents and gridlock. This book proves that traffic light is effective only when traffic flow is very low, otherwise it actually creates congestion and hence accidents, and hence gridlock. Like blood clots, congestion should be prevented and eliminated by all means, and at all costs. Unfortunately, traffic light is just doing the opposite.
