This simple book is about counting in twos. What does 2s mean in math?
When you count normally (like 1,2,3,4,5,6) you add 1 to get the next number. To count by 2s, you add 2 to get the next number. Why is it important to count in twos?
Counting in twos or "skip counting" is very important to develop fluency in calculation, number sense and as the basis of multiplication and division. It helps children to move from calculating or counting by ones to using number facts. They also need to identify a pair as having two matching objects.
