Freshly free from an abusive marriage, Carla heads twelve hours from everything she's ever known to start over in a small coastal town called Seaside Point.
She answers an ad for a housekeeper and expects to find a woman waiting for her when she arrives. Instead, she's face-to-face with a grumpy, weathered fisherman named Kelly.
Determined to carve out a new future for herself, she does her best to make the situation work and befriends most of the town. She finds that Kelly isn't exactly who he first appeared to be and just when everything is coming together, her past shows up and threatens to destroy everything she has built.
