The assertion here is that a person will be a better activist if they're a Christian first and an activist second. The activist's work itself should demonstrate the mindset of love, and that example provides more benefit than the attainment of the worldly cause. Faith in this benefit provides the activist with the motivation to keep working in the absence of measurable progress toward the goal. If the activist's work does not demonstrate the mindset of love, then the result may be net harm to society even if an objectively worthy cause is realized. Positive change is a bottom-up process, where individuals inspire their neighbors through positive actions. Activists do not require worldly authority nor cooperation from worldly authorities. Subsequently, activists take initiative, rather than waiting for action on the part of civil authorities.
