Walking towards Emmaus is going in search of the risen Jesus.
This is a journey of faith that must begin as many times as necessary and that must never end until we can accept the strange traveler whom we have not recognized on so many occasions on our way and whom we have even rejected when he has approached us to walk with us and advise us on how to reach our destination.
Jesus awaits us at a bend in the road and will never abandon us to our fate no matter how many times we have lost our way due to discouragement caused by our weak human nature and our ignorance of the things of the spirit that makes us walk in circles over and over again.
The only thing that Jesus asks of us is that we listen to him with humility and faith. His path is not of maps, it is of grace, love, and will; human will and disposition to live a new life and thus resurrect with Him and like Him.

However, no one resurrects to the life of the spirit if he has not previously died to the world and to sin.
Let us walk once and for all permanently with Jesus and He will guide us to Emmaus and break bread with us in the house of Cleophas and with the intimacy of his presence, we will know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven.
