As the extended family of Frances Michaels continues to "contend for the faith", many

unexpected scenarios unfold to try the faith of these believers.

After the shocking and unexpected news about the death of Craig Hinton, the father of Janice's

child, she reluctantly reveals the traumatic experience of a brutal rape that consequently

resulted in her pregnancy. Only through the comforting power of God and the support of the

family, is she able to overcome the traumatizing trigger of the experience.

When the paternal grandmother of her unborn child unexpectedly appears on the Akins

doorstep from Washington D.C., she brings contempt and confusion into the household but is quickly

overcome by the wisdom and knowledge of the power of God that the family possesses through past experiences.

Despite the negative opinions of the current society, Michael and Janice cement their relationship

by becoming engaged to be married a few weeks before her due date. In the midst of many different

challenges God proves Himself faithful.

When Marie's husband Jerry arrives for a brief visit, he suffers a near fatal heart attack

but because of divine intervention, he is mercifully spared as the love and grace of God

manifests once again.

As this volume in the series comes to a close, Michael and Janice are involved in a car

accident which brings on the birth of her baby girl just two weeks shy of her due date.

This development causes Michael to be even more determined to do it God's way as he receives a

confirmation in his spirit that he is doing the right thing.

It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. Lamentations 3: 22-23. [KJV]
