But it is just the beginning, as she is given powers that she has only ever read about in comic books.
Breaking free from captivity, she leads the others to safety and tells the Police. When the police return, they find the building in ruins and all of her captors dead.
When Britney and her friends are returned home, they are left with so many questions.

As Britney and her friends have fun testing their new powers, they soon realize that they just can't let the mastermind of it all get away with it.
They create costumes and give themselves new names, and so Cosmic Girl is born.
Determined to not let anything get in her way, Cosmic Girl sets out to right the wrongs and to bring those responsible to justice.
