This novel is set in two entirely different years; 1967 and 2020. Paul and Paula met at their high school prom in Kansas City, Kansas. They met the second time through luck in Pisa, Italy.

Their first meeting was not notably different than the lives of any high school student in the era of 'the summer of love,' popularized in 1967.

Their second came about with each enjoying a lifetime of experiences. Discover their behaviour towards each other following a 53-year separation.

This novel concludes with an issue that western society desperately needs to address.
