For over a century, pastors, Christians, and teachers have been using his words for guidance and inspiration for their own communication with God. Who better to draw from on the subject than a man who brought revival to his region through prayer meetings? Known as a person who spent hours every day with God, he not only wrote about prayer, he practiced it.

It was not easy to choose from such a vast storehouse of spiritual wealth-what to include and what to leave out. In some instances, we have taken excerpts and passages from the different books and aligned them together according to the same themes.
