Book Four: The Woman Who Forgave Herself

When Avery Victoria Spencer reaches to close a window shutter against a pounding London rainstorm, an old photo falls into her hands, restoring long-forgotten, painful memories. It was all my fault, she remembers.

Stunned by grief and remorse, she grabs an umbrella and leaves the house with no idea where to go. When the umbrella blocks her view of an approaching car, she ends up on life support.

Avery hovers between Life and Death. The Angel of Life argues for her to live because she has so much to live for—if she can forgive herself for something she never intended to happen. But Avery is tempted by the idea of a 'do-over' in her next life, offered by the lovely, but impatient, Angel of Death who has pressing quotas to fill.

Avery's husband, George, has waited years for her to love him again, and will not live without her. Whither thou goest, I will go.
