Hiking is her escape and her prison

While trekking through the lovely San Bernardino Mountains in the early morning hours before going to work at the bakery, Terri Thornton is unaware she's being watched by an evil man wearing a hoodie with his own agenda.

A sense of dread takes over as she's forced into a rickety cabin and falls through the crumbling floor and into a root cellar with no way out. Now she can't even see or feel the sun's rays to keep her warm.

Helena feel empathy for the girl and agrees to help the police in the search, but a check of the girls apartments leaves no clues, except that going missing wasn't part of her plan for the day. They find her cell phone on the kitchen table.

Terri fades in and out of consciousness, the injuries from the fall wake her occasionally. She's been rationing water and her granola bars supply is exhausted, but how long can she keep this up?
