This book is a collection of short stories, mostly in rhyme. The stories are all stand alone, so they don't necessarily have to be read in order. Their target is the 4-8 years old group. The kids that are either just about to start reading, or the beginner readers. Most of the stories are meant to teach a subtle lesson, from don't be a bully to good sportsmanship to sometimes the right decision is a hard thing to teaching that kids in wheelchair are just like everyone else. There is a story with purposely misspelled words, to encourage kids to pick out the wrong words, and a story about how fun a dog can be. All the stories are positive and have a complete ending. The artwork is very simple to engage the child's imagination. The goal is to get the young readers hooked on reading.
