Is the great American Empire about to end its era, like powerful nations past, such as the Roman Empire and the Mongol Empire? The Roman Empire impressively lasted about 500 years, much longer than the American democracy and the Mongolian Empire conquered more landmass than any empire in history. Nevertheless, both empires, as well as others, fell because of internal divisions. It was Abraham Lincoln who said, “America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we lose our freedom it will be because we have destroyed ourselves from within.” The insurrection at the White House on January 6, 2021 clearly shows how divided America is. Apparently, there’s a segment in America’s society who feel they are more “American” than their fellow Americans. In addition, they believe they exclusively belong in America, while the others don’t. Nonetheless, this issue of “Who’s American?” and "Who belongs in America?" needs to be resolved. If not, the American Empire will fall like the great empires before it. Who’s American? should help alleviate this question.
