Cassy was doomed to a lifetime of servitude on a barren planet, or so everyone told her.

A daring escape introduces Cassy to the eclectic residents of Sector 3, including Pilot, a snarky AI with a mysterious past; Zipper Fanshee, a celebrity heartthrob; and Una, a beautiful, bookish runaway. Uniting them is their obsession with the galactically famous "Diomedes 100" endurance space race.

After a bit of light piracy, Cassy, Pilot, and Una find themselves in possession of a state-of-the-art racing ship just days before the start of the thrilling but deadly competition.
