Task-based language learning and teaching (TBLT) has been prevalent around the world for decades. This book discusses in depth the research and application of 'task repetition', a worthwhile topic of study in TBLT. The author was fortunate to receive one-to-one mentoring from Rod Ellis, an internationally renowned academic at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, during her time of research in the UK. Based on the framework of this book, several papers have been successfully published in leading journals and international conferences in the UK, Germany and the USA, and have been cited by international scholars. This book presents a concise framework for task-repetition and may also provide some inspiration for undergraduate and postgraduate students, teachers and academics looking for new directions in research and pedagogy. Some images, such as an 18th century painting of Mulan preserved in the National Palace Museum in Taipei, are included at the end of this book for entertainment purposes.
