Dorien Grey is a washed-up recovering addict, ex-Navy Seal who's tasked to head-up a new unit in charge of tracking down fugitives with the local North Carolina small town of Sayer.

His first case is a doozy! A serial killer is on the run and has been spotted on the Appalachian Trail. He and his team:

His side-kick, best bud, and experienced tracker - Cherokee native - Kango Many Rivers Smith.

His boss is the newly elected Police Chief - Amanda Watts, who has a crush on Dorien and his staunch ally.

The conflict in the group comes from the 40 years serving Major John Michaels, also a vet of Vietnam and is very corrupt which is also a thorn in the side of Dorien who runs into drug and human traffickers on the trail whom he is forced to release because of the Mayor.
