Kate Rawlins seems to be a bit of a wagon train wreck. Married, distrusted, wanted for assault and threatened with arrest Kate climbs aboard a wagon heading to Kansas with the hope of a better and less complicated life. On the trail she recalls a world where evil men and death were all around her, but always protected by a Black cowboy and Indian. Kate returns to a past to start a new future.
