A coral reef is a natural wonder that is home to many different kinds of sea life. These marine creatures are called polyps and live in the sea by day. At night, they emerge from their skeletons to breathe and feed. The reef grows due to the symbiotic relationship between two organisms, the coral and the algae that live in it. These two organisms help each other grow and thrive in order to make the coral reef a living habitat.
