This handbook is intended for occupational groups – such as social workers, educators, psychologists, police officers, and criminal lawyers – that within the scope of their profession have contact to persons injured by crimes. It provides a survey of the current state of social science and criminological research, legal questions relevant for those injured by crimes, and the function and tasks of professional psychosocial support.
