Humanity consumed, took more than they needed, and disrespected the earth's resources. Now, in the distant future, water has claimed most of the land and humanity is scarce.

Lispel must find a way out. She must follow the divination and find a way back to the land, where her mother and father once ruled.

Like her people, she has a connection to the earth. She is a Huli. Her people evolved with the power to consume energy. It is a gift that the Huli kept a secret throughout the ages of humanity. A gift that a material world could and will never understand.
