Rushworth Kidder is the founder and president at the Institute for Global Ethics. He also serves as an advisor to Chautauqua's Applied Ethics Initiative.
Kidder's most recent book, How Good People Make Tough Choices: Resolving the Dilemmas of Ethical Living, has been praised by Jimmy Carter as "a thought-provoking guide to enlightened and progressive personal behavior."
Prior to founding the Institute for Global Ethics in 1990, Kidder was senior columnist for The Christian Science Monitor, an international daily newspaper highly regarded for its depth, balance, and ethical stance. From 1983 to 1990, he wrote the paper's weekly "Perspectives" column on social issues and trends.
