Explanations of how and why innocent persons are arrested and convicted for crimes they did not commit, the supportive relationship between police and district attorneys offices that encourages false arrests, and the emotional and financial payoff for those convictions are included in the manuscript.   Suggestions on how innocent people can protect themselves from false arrest, conviction and incarceration have been added, and the legal requirements that police and district attorneys violate every time they arrest and convict innocent persons are specifically discussed.
