There is a lethal political chess game driving the world towards WW3.

There was a time when human societies treasure harmonious human relations, courteous behaviour and mutual respect and help.

Unfortunately, time has changed, and society is now more contentious and fractious than ever. This terrible change is most likely caused by the worldwide overemphasis of the Western value of unrestrained individualism. It could also be the unfortunate result of the typically antagonistic American hegemonic politics that has ruled the world for more than the last half a century.

Indeed, history will judge whether America has been an admirable bastion of liberty and justice of the modern world, or the main source and exporter of the many terrible conflicts and man-made disasters in the world.

The fact is that world is now trapped in constant and recurring vicious conflicts and confrontation. The West in particular is gripped by a toxic brand of politics that is selfish and arrogant. Their operational code now is for politicians in power to attack and criticize everything and everybody just to satisfy their personal and individualistic ego.

Can such a society endure? Can conflicts and confrontation be the standard mode of human relationship? Why has society become such a perpetual chess game of kings and pawns engaged in constant conflict and warfare?

We really need to ask what is the future of humankind with the prevalence of such a toxic attitude and mentality?

Politics as we know it today really needs to be completely reset to break away from the toxic antagonism that pervades everything today. This must happen if the world is to become more peaceful, harmonious and prosperous for all people.

Hopefully, a new generation of politicians will emerge who are genuinely committed to improving the lives of the people who elect and support them.

This is the only way for peace to prevail in the world. This is the only way to avoid WW3.
