Every man in my family has gone into the military.

I'm expected to follow along with entering the service and have little to no choice in the matter.

What I really want to do is go to college, play baseball and football, and not worry about whether or not I live up to the legacy of men in my family. I won't sabotage my military career and get myself kicked out. However, I also know I'm going to stay in for as long as I need to with my team. We're a unit and I'm not going to be the one who breaks up a good team.

Will my dad get over his need for me to follow in his footsteps?
