They are found on a mysterious island, shaped like the palm of your left hand. In each book the children explore a different part of the island, which represents a different part of the world, with its unique wildlife. In this book - The Upper Gulf Adventure, the children specifically explore the wonders of South America. They meet some of the most fascinating animals normally found there, and learn a few words in the native language. But then the adventure ramps up. They are repeatedly warned to avoid the Pointer Stream. Concerned animals give the children some interesting clues to guess about the monster. What happens next is an exciting eruption of mythical creatures that you'll just have to read for yourself.
