Kate is staying at a lovely old pub while travelling for work when she meets an intriguing little girl called Mary. Mary is sweet, bright, and curious, but there is something a trifle odd about her. It's nothing Kate can quite put her finger on. The little girl seems to have chosen her for the evening and Kate can't bring herself to send her on her way as she tries to work out the mystery that is Mary.
