What do you do when the sins of your long dead ancestors rise up in your face in the here and now?

When Harry Nichols and Anna Felby crushed her family's toxic business, they thought their lives would get back on track. Her farm, his film. Ordinary. Normal.

So why is Harry dodging assassins in Kashmir? Sure he has enemies. Investigators always do. But why now? And in Kashmir?
But his feet barely hit the ground back home before he's dodging wannabe assassins again. Same question. Why? What malignant actor has he upset this much? The only thing new thing in his and Anna's lives is that some weird European connections of Anna's long dead grandfather have appeared from nowhere?
