It's Tabitha Lavender's first day at Yggdrasil. As a top graduate in her class, she was supposed to become an angelus and inspire humans to create art that echoes through the realms. But now, the dreamer finds herself at the bottom of all divinity exams, a fish out of water in a world she thought she knew.

Her dreams hang by a thread with each failing score. Muses do not pick from the bottom of the barrel, a reality her nemesis, Roman, has no trouble reminding her. The only one who seemed to have any faith in her was her fellow failure, Dima. Losers stick together, except she refused to remain a failure. She would become an angelus, even if she had to fight fate to do it.
