Umptre, the Lord of Light and Justice, chooses one mortal to bestow the title Hero.
Along with this title, the Hero is given the divine duty of gathering their Companions to face the nefarious Shadow and its evils.
Up until now, no Hero has failed in their duty and they have each been etched into legend as saviours of the world.

This does not comfort Aster as he sets off on his journey. Guided by an artefact bestowed upon him by Umptre, he must search for his Companions and convince them that someone as undeserving as he is truly the Hero.
Otherwise, the world is doomed.
