Favour is a function of God's mercy. Jeremiah 42:12 tells us that God is the source of all favours and mercies. If God does not favour you first, no man can favour you.

It is our trust and hope in the Lord that releases divine mercies and favours upon us and upon our path.

In other words, God would only give attention to those who trust and hope in His Mercy.

When we trust and hope in the mercy of the Lord we become favoured and fruitful; prosperous and successful; blessed and loaded with divine goodness. This fact is seen in Psalms 52:8:

Psalms 52:8

But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

It was the Psalmist trust in the mercy of God that made him like a green olive tree in the house of God.

Green Olive tree implies fruitfulness, prosperity, favour and all-round wellbeing. What produced it in the life of the Psalmist was trust in the mercy of God forever!?

Trust in the mercy of the Lord ought to be shown and demonstrated.

King Jehoshaphat in 2 Chronicles 20:1 - 21 conquered a whole formidable army of the enemy; they didn't need to fight in the battle; God fought for them and won the victory for them and they were blessed with great spoils because they demonstrated their trust in the mercy of God!

So the question that quickly comes to mind is "How Do I Demonstrate My Trust In The Mercy Of God?"

HOW DO WE DEMONSTRATE TRUST IN THE MERCY OF GOD!

There are several ways to demonstrate your trust in God's Mercy and one of the quickest ways of obtaining God's attention and the manifestation of God's mercy, favour, grace and power in your life and situation all the time is to deliberately offer God MERCY FOCUSED WORSHIP!
