Mallory's Manly Methods is a comic adventure story about a Customer Service Representative for a cable company who hates customers, looks down on women, and fears Blacks. When his actual life experiences conflict with his prejudices, he makes his own unique attempts at self-improvement, but his efforts are complicated by the fact that he's also a blundering idiot.

As Mallory gropes his way ever so slowly toward maturity, readers may find themselves loving or hating him (and possibly doing both at the same time). Kirkus Reviews describes this book as a "touching, silly adventure" that is "oddly endearing."
