Brian has no idea why he's being hunted like an animal, armed men and women following him wherever he goes. All he knows is that his life began when he woke up stranded in the middle of the desert with no memories and a throbbing head. Relentlessly pursued, Brian discovers a weapon within himself, an ability to create and wield flames. This power protects him and keeps him alive. The only trouble - he can't control it.

As Brian searches for safety and struggles to master his abilities he stumbles across a girl like him, with the power to control water. The girl, Amanda, is also being hunted by strange agents of a shadow organization.

The two band together, and Brian soon learns that Amanda might know who he is and what happened to him. But as memories begin to trickle back into his head, Brian realizes that he just might not like the answers, and that the fire inside of him is nothing compared to what lurks in the dark.
