A thankful heart is a joyful heart. The Book of Proverbs 17:22 says, " A merry heart does good like medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the bones" Proverbs 15:13 says, "A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.'' A thankful attitude relaxes the nerves and reduces a person's stress level. When the stress level is high, stress may raise the blood pressure which could be injurious to a person's health. Maintaining a thankful attitude will keep a person from the spirit of depression which is ravaging this generation hard with devastating consequences. A thankful heart calms a person down and frees them from worry and anxiety. It invigorates and inspires hope even in the midst of crises.
