If you're wondering what talents you'll need to attract a partner, the first thing you should examine is why you want a boyfriend in the first place. No, this isn't a silly query. What you're searching for in a relationship may influence how you go about finding a person. To be honest, if you're seeking for Mr. Right, you'll approach things differently than if you're looking for Mr. Right Now. While I never encourage reducing your standards, if you're just searching for someone to hang out with rather than a long-term spouse, you shouldn't be too concerned.
For the purposes of this post, I'll presume you're seeking for someone who has the potential to become someone remarkable. That notion underpins the counsel I'm about to give you. It's not that these strategies won't work for a more laid-back guy; they can and do; it's simply that if you want your relationship to last, you shouldn't use anything less.

1. Be yourself for the love of all that is good. We all know that when we meet someone for the first time, we put our best foot forward, and that's just OK. Putting on a false front is something you should avoid at all costs. It's one thing to remember to say please and thank you and not to burp in front of Mr. Who Knows when you first meet him; it's quite another to fully modify your behavior.
When meeting someone for the first time, don't suggest you enjoy to bowl if you don't. If you don't like martial arts movies, don't say so. Also, if you enjoy coming to museums, don't pretend you despise them. The point is that if you don't act like the real you, he won't be able to get to know you. Be true to yourself.

2. Keep compliments to a minimum. Tell him you think he has a great smile, but don't hang on every word like you just met Johnny Depp. It's one thing to stay alert; it's quite another to cling to something. Don't overdo it with your compliments; it should be genuine.

3. Don't just sit there and listen to him talk all day. For one thing, if the guy is content to spend the entire night talking about himself, he may never be a good match for you. If he prefers not to do all the talking, he will become bored if you do not participate in the conversation. In order to get to know each other, learn how to offer and take in a discussion.
The truth is that getting a lover does not require any particular abilities. Follow the hints I've provided you if you want a relationship built on attraction, shared interests, and trust (which is the greatest way to ensure it will last). Enjoy!
