We have seen parents who are laboring and investing so much into their kids but they still turn out wrong. They talk, instruct, counsel, command and even discipline, but their kids still took to their own way and ended up on the wrong side of life and/or on the wrong side of the law.

As a Mother of an ONLY CHILD – a SON, praying for your Son is a very powerful parenting tool; but this is grossly neglected by many Mothers. The scripture declares in Proverbs 22:6 that we should:

"Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it"

Many Mothers limit the training of their ONLY CHILD (a Son) to talking, instructing, counseling, and commanding and even disciplining the child from time to time.

Talking, instructing, counseling, commanding and even disciplining your Son may not always get his heart to follow or change in the direction of righteousness. In order words, talking, counseling, disciplining, commanding and instructing your Son should not be the only thing that you do in training and bringing him up in the way that he should follow. You should also complement these efforts with prayer for him.

The training of any child is not complete without taking out time in the day to pray specific character, life and career building prayers for him.

The life, future, destiny and heart of your ONLY CHILD (your Son) is so precious and fragile, that you should protect it and defend it; and one of the ways to effectively do this is by praying for him.

Your prayers will have a powerful impact on your Son – both now and for the rest of his life. You'll find that some of your best parenting happens when you're humbly bent down on your knees praying specifics for your Son. You are able to effectively manage, direct, groom, program, protect, bless, prosper and parent your Son effectively more when you are down on your knees praying for him.
