Alexis McBain's carefree life is suddenly complicated by the sudden loss of her grandmother and becomes even more complicated when she learns the family secret. Just as she gains the ability to accept her new way of life, a vengeful act alters her path forever.

Alexis Nicole McBain is a 21-year-old Art History major who is living what she believes to be the perfect life until the loss of her beloved grandmother temporarily delays her from learning about her birthright and her bloodline. She soon discovers magic and otherworldly things really do exist. With the help of friends, she learns how to move forward with her life excited about what is to come.

Unfortunately, additional tragedy is not far behind when an encounter with the one responsible for the loss of her family pulls her off course again, this time forever changing her existence.
