This notebook was originally compiled to facilitate the implementation of community projects, mainly in the South African context. The guidelines have been written in plain language to assist community field workers, particularly in rural areas, but could have general application for students and others involved in land use planning and the built environment. Using numerous illustrations, the notebook offers practical guidelines for site selection for a range of community building projects.
