What if the world went in a different direction but ended up with many of the same problems that we have. What would happen? How would they cope? What would they do different? Milt was born into such a world and he was swept-up right to the top whether he wanted it or not. Every tool availible will be required, politics, science, law but especially love and music and all of that will be used before it is over but will it matter? Will it change or fix anything? Compare it to what is happening in our world and decide for yourself.
This story is loosely based on the music of a band and mostly on an album from the late 1970s. I will not bias the reader by directly mentioning that album because the connection is so obscure and frankly completely unimportant. But a Google search would quickly satisfy any curiosity should it not be apparent for you and might even enhance the readers experence. But for me and many others, the important aspects of that album are permanently embedded deep within our brains.
