What can a man do when he hates dragons but dragons are the only thing that could save the kingdom?
Riddled with guilt, Veric makes a pact with the voice in his head that's been haunting him for months. To honor his side of the bargain, he sets out for an underground tower that opens on an ancient, forgotten city.
While there, he crosses paths with a goddess, which upheaves everything he believes in... or, rather, everything he does NOT believe in.
To top it off, Devan shows up again... and he's not too happy!
