Twenty-year-old Fada considers herself a bit of a misfit. She doesn't have many friends and chooses to spend her free time on her own, reading and visiting museums. A part of her worries she will always be this way: alone and on the outside looking in. But then she meets Angel.

This mysterious stranger becomes a friend and he introduces her to the snowy kingdom of Hagalaz, and her real home.

Angel changes everything. Soon, everything Fada thinks to be true will be turned upside down as she discovers a new life in this strange kingdom, learning about friendship, duties, war and love.
